    Sorry for the slow response! There is definitely an item cap, but that can be resolved with mods that add more tiers to the items and spells.

    I've looked at several mods that remove level caps on your character, so you can allegedly go to level 999, but cannot tell if these address the issue I have - that of all my characters over level 50-60 having hit a plateau, they continue to level ...apparently ... but while my opponents in the never-ending dungeon get stronger, my spells, weapons, and armor do not. So now my best spells/weapons/minions, who took out Ordrak in 30 seconds, take ten minutes of non-stop intense fighting just to kill one blasted ratlin (encountering a boss would be certain death). And if these mods will alleviate this situation, can they be activated with an existing character?

    I know I'm responding to a year old post but... lol. I'm not aware of a save editor but there is a mod providing a respec potion which allows you to reassign your skill points.

    I first heard of Torchlight in an Elder Scrolls forum way back in 2010, picked up a copy and it soon replaced an aged Hexen (with Korax Heritage mod) for my mindless hack-and-slash diversion. It has been on every computer I've had since then, in fact I was just playing a couple of hours ago. In many ways I still prefer it to Torchlight 2. ksharp - it sounds like your save game became corrupted. Your pet normally cannot die, they will just run away until their health regenerates (Shift+1 will give them one of your best hp potions if you don't want to wait); since the purple dot still shows on the map your pet still exists, so it is probably some arcane graphics/model glitch.     Anarch16sync has just uploaded TLM Wings Pack! A pack containing wings models converted from Torchlight Mobile into Extra features (Like the engineer backpack) for the wardrobe. All textures are in png format so they need to be converted to dds and tha material files updated before using in game.... (continued here)

    Ages ago I had a mod that removed level requirements for allocating skill points. I've looked through the mods here and cannot find it (there are many mods removing or altering level/stat requirements for weapons and armor, but that is not what I want to do). Does anyone know of the mod i seek? The irritant is when I level up and get a couple of skill points which I want to place on a particular spell but the game wont let me until I'm higher level, so I end up walking around with unused skill points until I've leveled several more times ...and then the game may only allow me to use a couple of my accumulated points.

    Anarch16sync has just uploaded Item Combiner UI rework! An UI modification for the transmuter where the recipe window replaces the pet inventory to allow for 28 recipes to be shown at once.
